Benjamin Tod is a railroad and tramp-inspired Americana folk singer. He mentioned something about hanging out under a train bridge for the afternoon and I was welcome to meet him there for the photo shoot. Sure thing I said…a couple of hours later I found him waiting for the East-bound train. We hung out telling stories of travel and what else we knew about. The photoshoot was off the cuff and casual. Mixed between the sound of the trains overhead were lonesome songs and laughter. The photos turned out great and it was cool to hang out and hear the stories and motivation of someone’s music I have such appreciation for. This is such a big part of why I love photography and one of the many reasons I’m grateful it’s in my life.
