The sailboat Infinity Expeditions is a mixture somewhere between a floating commune of international characters and a sailboat working to change the world one anchorage at a time. Captain Clem and his family have sailed Infinite for over 20 years from the far reaches of North to South, East to West, and everywhere in between several times over. His main vision is to bring attention to the devastating effects of climate change he witnessed firsthand and centered a life around tangible actions to do something about it. As part of this, he occasionally welcomes crew aboard to get their hands wet and to learn not only about sailing but how to live more sustainably in the process. The time I shared with them was about welcoming the newer generations to the conversation and how to develop a sense of love and stewardship for our oceans and the planet in general. This was done while cruising in the Sea of Cortez off the coast of Baja, Mexico. Many a conversation were had about plastic beaches, the very real impacts of commercial fishing, remote places and culture as well as plenty of the wild sea stories he has to share.
